Wabash National Corporation Raises $280,000 at Charity Golf Outing
More than 250 Wabash National suppliers and associates participate in event at
Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex
LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Sept. 25, 2014 – Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC) raised $280,000 for 17 community organizations yesterday at its annual charity golf outing, held in conjunction with the company’s annual Supplier Conference, which took place earlier today.
“Thanks to the commitment and generous support from our suppliers, this year’s charity golf outing was the most successful event in its history,” said Dick Giromini, president and chief executive officer. “As one of the largest employers in the Lafayette area, Wabash National is proud to support and work with local and national agencies to sustain and promote a promising future for America’s communities.”
Representatives from the following organizations and programs received checks at a special presentation during today’s conference at the company’s Ehrlich Innovation Center in Lafayette:

In addition, Wabash National contributed $10,000 to the Fond du Lac Area United Way in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; $5,000 to the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette in Portland, Oregon; and $5,000 to the United Way for Clinton County in Frankfort, Indiana.

More than 100 Wabash National suppliers supported the company’s fundraising efforts at the charity golf outing, raising $266,850 with event sponsorships and silent auction donations. Major sponsors included Hendrickson, Hutchens Industries, Lincoln Electric, Main Steel, Penske, Specialty Rolled Metals and Truck-Lite Co., LLC.
“We are proud to work with strong partners who not only help us deliver for customers, but also support our communities,” said Steve Miller, Wabash National vice president of global strategic sourcing.
Wabash National gave an additional corporate gift of $13,150 at the close of the charity golf outing, bringing the total monies raised to $280,000.
